Sunday, August 14

Today was a rather unremarkable travel day back to Boston with a three hour layover in Newark. The only thing of note: I actually cleared US customs in Calgary. This isn’t that unusual (I did it in Dublin in February), but the oddity was that you were not even allowed to get into the customs line until two hours before your flight. Strange, but I guess it helps them make sure there are enough people on duty so travelers can get through the line in a reasonable amount of time.

As I hope this travel log has shown, I had a great time at August Camp. The hiking was phenomenal. The entire setup of the camp was exactly what I expected. I met some great people. Basically, I can’t wait to do it again next year when August Camp goes to Vancouver. Should be fun.
